Systemair promotes global development and raises awareness of the ventilation industry
Roland Kasper, CEO of Systemair, highlights the importance of the company’s involvement in over 70 industry associations and certification bodies, with more than 30 employees holding leadership positions in both international and national organizations.
"Systemair’s broad participation enables us to understand industry needs and influence the development of regulatory frameworks, standardizations, and certifications," says Roland. "We are working to expand the market for HVAC manufacturers at a time when the demand for climate-smart solutions is growing globally. Climate change and urbanization are driving the development of the ventilation sector as more people require clean air, cooling, and heating."
At the same time, energy grids face significant challenges. Increasing demand must be met with energy-efficient technologies to ensure that future needs can be handled. By participating in industry organizations, Systemair works to harmonize regulations and guidelines globally, fostering development without being hindered by trade barriers.

Morten Schmelzer, Head of Group Public Affairs at Systemair, emphasizes that the company’s contribution is about creating a level playing field where sustainability and innovation are prioritized. "We see that our sector plays a crucial role in combating air pollution and addressing climate challenges. Raising awareness of the HVAC industry’s potential is part of a long-term effort. To ensure the implementation of climate goals, we need to facilitate communication between local and global bureaucracies."
Ventilation at the heart of air treatment
At ISH 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for the HVAC industry, Systemair is presenting a broader perspective on ventilation. Through the campaign "Ventilation – Tthe Heart of Air Treatment," the central role of ventilation in creating climate-friendly indoor environments is being emphasized.
"Ventilation has historically been a relatively hidden technology within our infrastructure. However, after the pandemic and increasing climate challenges, it has become clear that clean air plays a central role in our lives. Our investors understand that this is a long-term growth area, both in terms of efficiency and hygiene," says Roland.
Ventilation is the driving force behind Systemair’s broad product portfolio. It provides the foundation for effective air treatment, where air is not only moved but also adapted to meet specific quality requirements. "We are working on treating air at multiple levels – from purifying it of particles and pollutants to controlling temperature and humidity. This not only creates cleaner air but also energy-efficient solutions that reduce carbon footprints," explains Roland, concluding:
"At this year’s participation at ISH 2025, we aim to raise awareness of the central role of ventilation and showcase how Systemair can contribute to a more sustainable and healthier future. Ventilation is not just technology – it is part of the solution to some of our time’s biggest challenges."
